Anthropic Release New Claude Android App 📲

• The Claude Android app now brings the powerful Claude 3.5 Sonnet model to Android users for free, available with all plans, including Pro and Team. It offers the same features and functionality as on iOS and the web, ensuring a seamless user experience.

• The app supports multi-platform use, enabling users to continue conversations across web, iOS, and Android. It includes real-time image analysis with vision capabilities, multilingual processing for language translation, and advanced reasoning to tackle complex problems efficiently.

• Claude provides the basic uses for both professional and personal use, aiding in drafting business proposals, translating menus while traveling, brainstorming gift ideas, and composing speeches. Its comprehensive support ensures users can access its features anywhere, anytime.

OpenAI Announces GPT-4o mini 👶

• OpenAI has introduced GPT-4o Mini, a more affordable and lightweight model for developers, which is intended to replace GPT-3.5 Turbo in ChatGPT's Free, Plus, and Team plans. Although GPT-3.5 will eventually be phased out from the API, it remains available for developers who prefer not to switch to GPT-4o Mini.

• GPT-4o Mini supports text and vision in the API and is expected to handle all multimodal inputs and outputs, including video and audio, in the near future. Despite being designed for simple tasks, its versatility makes it ideal for creating capable virtual assistants that can manage tasks such as understanding travel itineraries and providing suggestions.

• This model scored 82 percent on the MMLU benchmark exam, outperforming GPT-3.5 and competing models Claude 3 Haiku and Gemini 1.5 Flash, but slightly trailing behind GPT-4o and Gemini Ultra.

Google Vids : Gemini AI-Video Presentations 🎥

• Google has introduced its new Vids productivity app in Workspace Labs, aimed at simplifying video creation. Announced in April, Vids allows users to combine docs, slides, voiceovers, and video recordings into a cohesive presentation video to share with coworkers. Workspace admins can opt in users to try this AI-powered video maker.

• Unlike AI tools like OpenAI’s Sora, which can create lifelike footage from prompts, Vids focuses on generating presentations. Users describe their desired output, and the AI tool Gemini helps create the video, allowing further manual adjustments afterward.

• Users can start their Google Vids presentation using various templates and enhance them with royalty-free stock content. A key feature demonstrated is Gemini’s ability to automatically insert stock footage, generate scripts, and provide AI voiceovers.
